Dear all,
By now, most of you know of our sad news. Last Saturday, at first round of Australian Superbike Championship, on Phillip Island track,
we lost our Oscar McIntyre.
I am not sure if I should be telling you about the sorrow of loosing Oscar, or about the joy of knowing him.
He was a 17 year old, living life to the fullest. Those who were lucky to meet him remember mischievous, jovial young man, who made everyone laugh. I had the opportunity to see his sincere, mature and deep side.
Oscar went doing what he wanted above all. The only solace we can take, is that he has been the happiest in these last few months.
None of us can share the grief and sorrow of his family. We can offer support and comfort.
The other thing we can do is to celebrate Oscars short life. To make sure he is remembered. To this end, I ask everyone to find the way to contribute.
Our Oscar paid the ultimate price and sacrifice to fulfill his greatest desire. Remembering Oscar, we have to think of, and respect, all other young man, who are part of this hard and scary sport.
He left us grief and sorrow, but I know that his heart was full of joy and happiness to the last beat.
Best regards, Mike Gross
